If Kat falls off a tree in the woods and no-one is around, does she make a sound? LOL!
Just kidding. looks and sounds like you had a good time.

I know you guys prolly get sick of hearing about me and the caching stuff. But this weekend was particularly special for me, and I'm gonna share anyway.
I passed the 250 mark...We planned a "girls who wanna cache" day, and it was an unqualified success. We had so much fun, and over two days, I made a few accomplishments. One of which is that, up there...walking up this tree that extended out over a river. I've included my link to the log I wrote about the experiance, and if you click the link that's the title of the cache, you'll read from a couple of the other women, about watching me do this. But I had to describe it from my brain....

also, if you click the photos, you can see them better.
now the other "accomplishment", I can't link you to, cause I haven't written the log, nor do I have the pictures yet.
But, I feel like I've done my single favorite cache hike, yesterday morning. Less than a mile round trip, but it was along a path at the tops of the walls of a quarry just outside of Marion Oh. I cannot find the words to adequately describe the sense of accomplishment crossing the crevices (seperations in the rock walls) at the top of a trail that is roughly 1 1/2 feet wide in many places, following a ridge 100 feet or more above the quarry lake.
Looking out from the "bluff" over two active quarries, and seeing hundreds of geese on the lake surface, with the sun reflecting up.
I'll link it after I write it, but it may be a day or two, cause I want the photos, too. Breathtaking doesn't begin to touch it...at least for me.

It almost sounds as if you two know my reputation on the trails...face down, usually.
Once the whole story gets compiled about the fall I took this weekend (yes...before this picture was taken, even...) I will post it for you. Cause the "sound " question is actually very appropos...
Even in my younger days I would have been scared to death! Don't like heights, am really terrified of water but I AM proud of you (JDF) for doing it. Congratulations honey!
thanks, mom. That means a lot.
This year has really been about a lot of discovery for me...and not even in the most obvious "finding hidden things" kind of way. And I know GL thinks I'm nuts, and my family gets a little tired of me doing this, but I have yet to get them to understand just how it has been benefitting me.
I am terrified of heights. and if you had tried to get me to do that last year, I never would have been able to. but in this last year, I have accomplished physical feats that I never would have fathomed .. and still am in awe of, considering my physical condition. Wait till I show you the stuff from the quarry cache. Some of the people I cache with have even told me that I surprise them out on the trails...some of the terrain levels I have gotten over, climbs I've done...and gotten back down from. Getting past the pain in my feet and knees. And it kills me how much I have learned to look around me. Sometimes, I swear I go into sensory overload, especially this time of year.
but, anyway...like I said...I just felt like sharing.

Good to have something fun like that to do.
Looks like you really enjoy it.
